Permit - Retired Person

Voici ce que demande le consulat de SA à Genève pour un permis de type retraite

A mentionner que le Visa est lui pour une durée beaucoup plus longue.

Il semble qu'on puisse demander deux fois le permit avant de pouvoir demander le visa.


Retired Persons Permits
All applications should be handed-in at the Consulate by the applicant
NO FIXED TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO THE ISSUING OF THE PERMIT
Retired persons’ permits may be issued to persons who wish to retire in South Africa, provided that such persons comply with the financial requirements provided for in the Immigration Act, 2002 (Act No. 13 of 2002) and its Regulations. Applications must be made at any regional office of the Department of Home Affairs or nearest South African embassy, mission or consulate abroad.
To apply for a retired persons’ permit you must submit the following documents with the Temporary Residency Permit Form DHA-1738:
·        A passport with at least 2 pages for a visa. The passport must be valid for 30 days after expiry of the intended visit
·        2 recent passport size colour photographs
·        A photocopy of a valid residential permit, if applicable
·        Permit fees CHF 35.00 - NO CASH accepted. Money to be deposited in Consulate bank account. Details to be provided at the Consulate
·        A vaccination certificate (if you have travelled through or intend travelling to the yellow fever belt)
·        Proof of medical cover
·        Medical and radiology reports
·        Proof of financial statements in the form of (Minimum Payment p/month 37 000 Rand)

·        Undertaking by the host (s) in South Africa
·        A written statement and documentation confirming purpose and duration of visit
·        A police clearance certificate from each country in which you resided for 12 months or longer since the age of 18 years
If you intend to be accompanied by a spouse or children, then the following additional documents must be attached to the Temporary Residency Application form:
  • Medical certificates for all family members accompanying you
  • Unabridged birth certificates
  • A marriage certificate, where applicable
  • Proof of a spousal relationship
  • A copy of the marriage certificate or affidavit (partner)
  • A divorce decree or proof of legal separation if applicable
  • Proof of custody or adoption of a minor(s), if applicable
  • A death certificate in respect of a late spouse, if applicable
  • Consent from the parent(s) of a minor(s), if applicable
  • Proof of the following:
    • Pension income of a minimum of R37 000 per month, or a life-long irrevocable retirement annuity / retirement account with the equivalent value of R20 000 per month
    • A net worth not less than R12 million from which at least R15 000 per month will be paid out for living expenses

  •  CHF 35.00 - NO CASH accepted. Money to be deposited in Consulate bank account. Details to be provided at the Consulate 

Permit - Student

Après renseignement pris auprès du consulat à Genève, ma demande de permis peut être faite à partir de janvier. Pour Alexandre il doit être présent pour faire sa demande. Le contrôle se fait en 4 à 8 semaines. Ce sera juste, juste.

Pour un permis étudiant, voici les documents à produire:

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPLICATION FOR A STUDY VISA IN TERMS OF IMMIGRATION ACT. NO. 13 OF 2002, SECTION 13

§  No fixed travel arrangements must be made prior to the issuing of the visa.
§  Turnaround time as complete application is lodged at the Consulate: 4 – 8 weeks
§  All documents should be translated in English
§  The entry requirements are NOT NEGOTIABLE.
§  Passports will be retained during processing period of the visa
§  Kindly note that all applications should be handed-in at the Consulate

1.               Complete Form DHA 1738

2.               Passport valid for no less than 30 days after the expiry of intended visit.

3.               Copy of the first 3 pages of the passport

4.                Payment of the prescribed fee CHF 35.00 (Bank details will be provided upon application)

5.                Valid Swiss permit + copy

6.               A yellow fever vaccination certificate.

7.               Two photographs and copies of the first three pages of passport.

8.               An official letter of provisional acceptance or acceptance at that learning institution and the duration of the course

  • An undertaking by the Registrar or Principal of the learning institution to

  1. Provide proof of registration as contemplated in the relevant legislation within 60 days of registration; or

  1. In the event of failure to register by the closing date, provide the Director-General with a notification of failure to register within 7 days of the closing date of registration

  1. Within 30 days of de-registration, notify the Director General that the applicant is no longer registered with such institution and

  1. Within 30 days of completion of studies, notify the Director-general when the applicant has completed his or her studies or requires to extend such period of study

9.               Details regarding arranged accommodation,

10.            Proof of sufficient funds to cover tuition fees, maintenance and incidental costs.

11.            In the case of a minor, the particulars of the person in the Republic of SA who will act as the learner’s guardian and confirmatory letter from such person, and proof of consent for the intended stay from both parents, or from the sole custody parent along with proof of sole custody.

12.            An outline of the course or academic programme for which the applicant has been accepted and proof of the required qualifications to attend it, if any.

13.            Police clearance certificate (persons 18 years and older) in respect of all countries where person resided one year or longer

14.            Proof of medical cover

15.            Medical report + radiological report
